After a significant hailstorm in
Ixonia, this home underwent a full exterior transformation through an insurance-approved restoration project. Our team completed a complete siding removal and replacement using durable LP SmartSide® materials, designed to withstand Wisconsin’s harsh weather while delivering long-lasting curb appeal. Special attention was given to the front elevation, where architectural updates and clean detailing dramatically modernized the home’s appearance.
On the front of the home, we removed all oversized white header boards above the windows and replaced them with a clean 4” LP SmartSide trim, creating a more refined and cohesive look. The front entry door was also re-trimmed to match, and all shutters were removed to simplify the façade. To further enhance durability, the garage door trim was fully replaced with LP SmartSide trim and finished with a new white weather strip, ensuring improved protection and performance.
The front left elevation was upgraded with a striking board-and-batten design in Pacific Blue, per the homeowner’s request, with matching Pacific Blue outside corners in that section and Wedgewood Blue corners used throughout the rest of the home. To maintain clean vertical lines, trim boards were intentionally minimized, with a subtle drip cap installed to preserve the uninterrupted board-and-batten aesthetic. A 6” LP SmartSide trim was installed around the garage after removing the existing header board and decorative center piece, and the faux gable vent on the front gable was removed for a cleaner, more modern finish.
